Good golly miss Molly! It was so easy to dislike Mimi! She was always crying, complaining, or being hit on! Sometimes all three at once! Augh!
That’s why it was so refreshing when I saw her in the episode “Flower Power.”
Mind you, she was horrible at the beginning of this episode, hiding her Digimon under a blanket because she had a reputation to uphold and Palmon wasn’t in “good taste.”
Then by the end, everything was falling apart around her. She was on her own, her only fellow Digidestined captured, her parents in danger, and the bad guys winning…here come the water works! But she pushes back her tears and says that she’s not going to cry when her friends need her. She’s done being a child.
Her Crest glows and Togamon digivolves into Lillymon!
“Am I in bad taste, Mimi?”
“No, I’m sorry I ever said that.”
“No big!”
That’s when I fell in love with this character. Shallow little Mimi was gone and (even though she’s still not the strongest person in the group) she was determined to be strong for her friends.

For the record, I've always loved Mimi. ALWAYS. Even during the start of this particular episode. Sure, it was shallow of her, but she's just too cute and funny to stay mad at.
